DC Mandeep Singh Brar gave this information in a meeting held under the headship of the administrator on Friday.
DC said that out of these 10,000 people, there are 8972 people who had registered through the website of Chandigarh administration. The administrator has asked the officers to check the health of these people coming from outside.
In Punjab, it has been approved to serve alcohol in hotels or restaurants in function or rooms, due to which hoteliers in Chandigarh were demanding that this exemption should be given here too. This demand was discussed in a meeting held in Punjab Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Some Guidelines have to Come from The Ministry of Home Affairs
The administrator said that at the moment wait till June 30, because some guidelines have to come from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The decision to serve alcohol in hotels and restaurants will be decided only on or after June 30.
This means that at present, the current situation in Chandigarh will remain in the hotel and restaurants industry.
601 samples taken in 2 days, 15 report positive.
PGI director told the meeting that in the last two days, there have been a total of 601 test samples in PGI, out of which 15 reports came out positive. Only five of these were from Chandigarh.
GMCH-32 underwent a total of 74 test samples in the last two days, out of which only two corona viruses were found. DC Mohali said that he has a total of 56 active cases. DC Panchkula said that they have Corona Active Case 71 here. There are 88 active cases in UT.
