Washington California Governor Gavin Newsome in the US has said that the fire in the province’s forests has burned 20.30 lakh acres of forest, the largest occurrence of forest burn in such a large area in a year. At the same time, in 2019, the forest spread over 118,000 acres was destroyed due to fire. Gavin said this while addressing reporters on Tuesday. On the other hand, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Control, the fire in the San Diego forests had spread over 17000 acres till Monday.
The department had said that about 14000 firemen are trying to extinguish the fire. At least eight people have died due to fire and 3300 structures have been destroyed.
