Stock markets continue to boom, Sensex rises about 500 points

Mumbai:- Early trading in the domestic stock markets saw a spurt today amid strong investor sentiment towards the economy. The BSE 30-share sensitive index Sensex opened at a high of 404.62 points at 37,823.61 points and moved up by nearly 500 points to reach 37,907.22 points amid all-round buying. The National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also opened with a gain of 103.90 points to 11,126.10 points and reached 11,164.45 points.

The Sensex was up 480.25 points or 1.28 percent at 37,899.24 points at the time of writing the news and the Nifty was up 138.90 points or 1.26 percent at 11,161.10 points. Indices of midhauli and small companies also saw a spurt. The market was supported by buying in big companies like Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and HDFC. Investment perception in the market was strong as most of the major Asian markets remained in the green mark.
