New Delhi: Actress Kangana Ranaut has got a clean chit from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Actually, the matter is about tweets and statements related to Kangana Ranaut eating beef. Navneet Gopi, who hails from Ludhiana, moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court against Kangana Ranaut.
He said that Kangana is promoting beef-eating through her statements which has hurt her religious feelings.
Complaint against Kangana Ranaut
Navneet Gopi said that he has also filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut at the police station in Ludhiana but no action has been taken so far, in his petition, he had demanded that section 8 Punjab Cow Murder Prevention Act, 1995, section 66 on Kangana Ranaut And case should be registered under 67 Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 295 of Indian Penal Code, 1860.
While giving a decision on this, Justice Manoj Bajaj termed this petition as vague and misunderstood and dismissed the petition.
Where is the court, Kangana is a vegetarian herself
The court said that it does not seem that Kangana Ranaut is promoting eating beef but rather her post is saying that she has become a vegetarian herself. In the second post, Kangana is telling about the difference between food in India and abroad. He said that the post is going viral on social media nowadays. It doesn’t look like Kangana has posted this yet. He said that the facts and circumstances do not show that Kangna has committed any crime.
Viral old Interview on Social media
Actually, actress Kangana Ranaut has been in constant controversy since the death of Sushant Singh. An old interview troller shared on social media that people are not liking Kangana’s response in this and this tweet is becoming quite viral. In the interview shared, Kangana Ranaut had told that she has not only been a non-vegetarian, but she has also eaten beef.
Kangana Ranaut said in the tweet that there is nothing wrong with eating beef or any other meat. It is not about any religion.
Let me tell you that Kangana had chosen to become a yogi by adopting a vegetarian life 8 years ago.
She further wrote that now she does not believe in any one religion. Kangana’s brothers still eat meat and because of this, they become no less Hindu than Kangana. We are not living in the medieval era. Today anyone can build their religion and follow it.
Petitioner Navneet Gopi had also sought security by citing the threats received by him after a complaint in Ludhiana, which the court rejected, stating that the petitioner has not named any organization or person who is threatening him. In such a situation, they cannot be protected.
