101 defense Items has been banned
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that we want to be self-sufficient to contribute to the world in a better way. In this direction, some reforms have been made in the defense policy such as the import of 101 defense items has been banned.

Several steps have been taken in the Defense Sector
Earlier, at a ceremony organized by FICCI (FICCI), CDS Bipin Rawat said that India is facing many challenges and threats today. Our collective response to COVID-19 has firmly established our ability to overcome any such unexpected event.

Bipin Rawat said that all Important decisions have been taken in Defense Sector from the preparation of negative Import list to 74% FDI
He said that there is a need for partnership with DRDO for innovation, research and development.
He said that we are giving a clear picture on time based defense procurement, R&D, promotion of existing firms and the industry based on our future needs.
