Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes should be given to those people of this group who are still highly backward.

During the hearing on this matter, on Thursday, the court said that if the state government had the power to give reservations, it would also have the power to do sub-classification and such sub-classification of reservation list Tampering with can not be considered equal.
Earlier, a bench of 5 judges said that sub-classification cannot be done. But today a bench of five judges said that sub-classification is legal.
A 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court has said that the state assembly can legislate to give special facilities to certain special castes within the scheduled caste group.
Explain that in 2005, EV Chinnaiya v. State of Andhra Pradesh, it was said that the classification of sub-castes within castes is illegal. Now after this decision of Thursday, this matter will go to the big bench.
