New Delhi: Air pollution is a big problem for the whole of India. But now air pollution has increased the risk of infection of COVID-19. In the coming few months, due to air pollution, Coronavirus may kill more people.

Corona infected patients affected

Harvard University has done a study on how air pollution will affect Corona infected patients. According to this study, even a slight increase in the amount of PM 2.5 particles in the atmosphere can increase the speed of deaths from corona. PM means Particulate Matter. PM 2.5 is very fine particles which enter our body through the breath and people become ill due to increasing level of PM 2.5 in the air.

According to a Harvard study, the probability of death of Kovid 19 patients living in areas with more air pollution is more than the patients living in areas with less air pollution.

  • For the first time, this study shows a direct correlation between the level of air pollution and the death of Kovid 19 patients.
  • Pollution has reduced the lungs of people by 30 percent and for such people the infection of Kovid-19 can be fatal.
  • In the year 2019, only 50 thousand cases of stubble burning were reported in Punjab.
  • In the case of corona infection, India is currently second in the world after America. In the last 24 hours yesterday, more than 81 thousand cases of Kovid 19 have been reported in India.
