New Delhi: There is good news about the development of the Coronavirus vaccine. According to sources, the second phase of the clinical trial of the Russian corona vaccine Sputnik-V in India is going to start soon. It said that an expert panel of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation on Friday (17 October) approve the clinical trial of the second phase of the vaccine to the Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has recommended.

1400 Volunteers will be Include in the Second trial test

The Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical firm re-applied to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) on October 13 for a re-trial and the second and third phase human trials of the Russian Corona Vaccine Sputnik-V in the country. They had demanded approval to be done. In this regard, information has received that under the revised protocol, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has stated that the second trial test will cover 100 subjects, while the third phase of the test will cover 1,400 volunteers.

The third trial will be allowed after the second trial is successful

Sources said the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on Kovid-19 recommend to allow the second phase of the potential vaccine to be test first after recent deliberations. Human trials of the third trial of the Kovid vaccine will approve only after the submission of the second phase safety and immunity data.

Sputnik is the World’s first kovid vaccine

The Sputnik V vaccine has been developing jointly by RDIF and Gamalaya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology. Russia allowed Sputnik-V, the first vaccine of the coronavirus, which is the first vaccine of Kovid-19 worldwide. After this, Russia has approved the second corona vaccine EpiVacCorona on 14 October.
It is worth noting that in the last week, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan had told that at the beginning of 2021, India is expected to get Covid-19 Vaccine from more than one source. He is expected to get the coronavirus vaccine in India early next year.
