New Delhi. As the number of corona infection cases increased for the second day in the country, the total number of infected people has reached close to 90 lakhs, although the rate of active cases has come down to five percent due to the number of patients recovering from new cases.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of infected people has increased to 89.58 lakhs during the last 24 hours, due to 45,576 cases of corona infection. During this period, 48,493 patients were cured, due to which active cases have been reduced by 3502 to 4.43 lakh. The number of people who have defeated this epidemic has now exceeded 83.83 lakhs. In the same period, the death toll has risen to 1,31,578 with the death of 585 more patients.
The rate of active cases in the country has increased to 4.95 and the rate of recovery to 93.58 while the death rate is 1.47. In the last 24 hours, Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of 1697 active cases while Kerala has the highest number of healthy cases at 7066, while Delhi has the highest number of dead at 131. Active cases in Maharashtra most affected by Kovid-19 now stand at 81,207. In the state, the death toll has risen to 46,202 due to the death of 100 patients, while so far more than 16.23 lakh people have beaten the corona.
The number of healthy patients in Kerala has gone up to more than 4.68 lakh and active cases have reduced to 69,516 while 1943 people have died. The number of active cases in the national capital has increased to 42,558. 7943 infected have lost their lives here, while more than 4.52 lakh patients have been infected so far.
