The Governor of Haryana has banned the exhibition and screening of Punjabi film ‘Shooter’ across the state, using the powers conferred in sub-section (1) of Punjab Cinema Releasing Act 1952 Session-6. This information was given by District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anshj Singh on Saturday. He said that the Haryana government, using the powers conferred in the Punjab Cinema Releasing Act 1952, has stopped the exhibition and screening of the Punjabi film Be Shooter in the state of Haryana with immediate effect.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the orders issued by the Department of Home and Administrative Justice, Government of Haryana, the Governor of Haryana, using the powers conferred in sub-section (1) of the Punjab Cinema Regulation Act 1952 section-6, made a Punjabi film ‘shooter’ throughout the state. Exhibition and screening have been suspended.In compliance with the Governor’s orders, the film has been banned in the revenue limit of Sonepat district by any means. It has been clarified in the orders that this movie will remain an unauthorized film during the suspense of the motion.
