Aditya Thackeray knocked against SC decision of UGC, challenging the decision to conduct final year exam

Mumbai:
Maharashtra cabinet minister Aditya Thackeray has on Saturday approached the Supreme Court against the central government’s decision to hold the final year examinations in colleges and universities.

This petition has been filed by Yuva Sena, the youth wing of Shiv Sena and is headed by Aditya Thackeray.
In its statement, the Yuva Sena said that “the Central Government is ignoring the safety, fear, mental and physical health of the students across the country by allowing them to conduct the examination”.

The exams postponed due to an outbreak of Coronavirus and a lockdown

The army said, “Given that Corona is a national disaster, the UGC should postpone the final year exams.

However, it seems that the UGC is not able to understand what disaster the country is going through.”

The youth army said that students and examination supervisors will come and go to the exam center and this may increase the risk of corona infection.

Major educational institutions across the country like IITs have already canceled final year exams.

The organization said that the students should be promoted on the basis of the numbers so far obtained in this academic year.

Thackeray said in his tweet, “Will UGG take responsibility for the health of every student and warns that this may endanger the lives of millions of students and teaching staff.”
