The scope of testing is being extended continuously to control the global epidemic Covid-19 in the country and till August 25, three crore 76 lakh 51 thousand 512 corona samples have been tested. The Medical Research Council of India (ICMR) was informed on Wednesday that on August 25, eight lakh 23 thousand 992 samples of corona virus were tested across the country, although this number compared to nine lakh 25 thousand 383 samples of the day before. It was less than one lakh. According to the council, by August 25, the total investigation of corona reached thirty million 76 lakh 51 thousand 512. A record 10 lakh 23 thousand 836 corona were tested in the country on 21 August and became the third country in the world to have more than 10 lakh infection tests in a single day.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, 67151 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the last 24 hours and 1059 patients have died. The total corona patients in the country are 32,34,475 of which active cases are 7,07,267 and 24,67,758 people have defeated the virus. The total number of deaths from the virus has reached 59449. In the last 24 hours, active cases increased by 2919, due to less number of people recovering from corona as compared to new cases. Today the number of healthy people was 63173 while the previous day record was 66550. The recovery rate improved by 0.01 percent to 75.92 percent while the death rate remained at 1.84 percent.
